Film was hand processed by the photographer using Kodak D-76 developer then scanned
using a Nikon Coolscan 8000 film scanner12 images hand printed one page at a time, bound and ready to hang onto a wall
240g/m Ultra Premium Luster Paper using Ultra Chrome K3 Pigment Inks

“Over a 6-year period I travelled to Venice each winter loaded with cameras and bags of film. The goal to try and re-define the cliched vision we have of arguably the most photographed city in the world.
Millions of people visit Venice every year, blindly strolling through veils of light and shadow like actors on a stage performing for the few remaining inhabitants. I want to reawaken these people to the subtle beauty, gentle embrace and mystery emerging from the the shadows of this magical place.
I shoot on film and work hand-held, giving me the freedom to move, turn on a dime and shoot from the hip: much like a Jazz musician working on a riff…then jettisoning it when it doesn’t work. If I have to think about it before the shutter is released…the image is already gone.”
